Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems Condition Assessment

Asset Inventory – This effort will have the consultant utilize existing data sources, including understanding of current operators to obtain an inventory of assets to be evaluated within the City of Durango distribution and collections systems. As part of this effort, available information will be analyzed to understand where data gaps exist and need to be filled in another portion of the assessment. This inventory should include an initial assignment condition and criticality to generate an asset condition index which can instruct the inspection process (this should provide for an index for each system, distribution and collections). 2. Asset Assessment/Inspection – With the asset inventory and initial indexing developed, the consultant will develop an inspection plan which incorporates the best practices in infrastructure inspection methods. The plan should identify the priority for inspection and how any missing data may be collected. Finally, the effort will perform inspection on the highest scoring assets identified through the inventory indexing process. 3. Data Analysis – Once the inventory and inspection have been completed, data compilation, organization and analysis will be needed to develop a final report. Output should include a GIS layer for the data information. Additionally, the report should include the compilation of the asset inventory identifying date of install, useful life, condition, risk, and current asset value.
