Questions and Answer Addendum Posted 5:00PM July 19, 2022 The proposals relate to the performance of the following work: The work associated with the California Institution for Men (CIM) Air Cooling; Facility A project will be located inside the existing Facility A secure perimeter. This project will install new roof-mounted heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment to replace existing roof-mounted heating and ventilation equipment at the eight Facility A Housing Units, as well as associated electrical and plumbing work. Work includes the demolition of existing roof-mounted equipment, the installation of new HVAC units and the associated electrical, condensate drainage, and housing unit roof repair work. Additional work includes the installation of temporary fencing at Mariposa housing unit, configured to ensure unobstructed access to the adjacent maintenance/canteen building, as well as any infrastructure connections required to complete the project scope of work THIS BID PROPOSAL MUST MEET THE DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DVBE) 3% PARTICIPATION GOAL. Questions received after this time will not be answered. The successful bidder shall furnish bonds, insurance, and other documents as specified in the Instruction to Bidders The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity in any bid, and to award a contract for any part or whole of the project. Bidders security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, and appropriate licensing are required of all bidders. The States Estimate for the project is approximately $11,700,000.
