RFP Engineering - Engineering Design Services for Mulitiple CIP Water Pipeline Replacements Projects

The San Bernardino Municipal Water Department (SBMWD) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering design services for multiple capital improvement water pipeline replacement projects. This project includes the design of approximately 30,000 linear feet of ductile iron pipeline in the SBMWD distribution mains, improving distribution and fire flow throughout the distribution system. This project is a part of the Lead Replacement Program utilizing American Rescue Plan Act Grant Funding, approximately twenty (20) potential lead service laterals have been identified within this project and will be replaced along with other associated services as specified in the RFP documents. Minimum experience requirements: A. Successful implementation of three (3) projects within the last five (5) years of similar scope of work for water municipality including water main pipeline replacement and design. B. Project experience with a water/wastewater utility or other governmental agency is preferred. C. Firm shall employ the services of a Professional Engineer, currently licensed in the State of California, to sign and stamp final design drawings. The bidder is solely responsible for on time submission of their electronic bid. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids.
