Description | Advertisement for Pre-qualification and Notification of Bid for North Shore School District 112 Ravinia Elementary School Additions and Renovations, Highland Park, Il 60035 BID RELEASE 1 Gilbane Building Company, Construction Manager, for and acting on behalf of, North Shore School District 112, is receiving lump sum proposals from interested contractors for the Additions & Renovations to Ravinia Elementary School for the following work: Ravinia Elementary School: North Shore School District 112 - Additions and Renovations to Ravinia Elementary School, Highland Park, Illinois. Work consists of multiple additions totaling approximately 16,000 SF, including a two-story classroom addition, a one-story classroom addition, and a food service addition. The existing school renovation is approximately 54,000 SF. School will be vacated during this project. Work includes structural and selective demolition, site work, and landscaping. Overall building additions and renovations include, Building and Site Concrete, Masonry, Structural & Misc. Steel, Casework & Millwork, Exterior Wall Systems, Roofing, Glass & Glazing, Framing & Drywall, Flooring, Painting, Acoustical Ceilings, Lockers, Tack & Marker Board, Signage, Elevator, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical. The work will be bid in multiple bid Phases. BP# Description 02A Demolition Work - Ravinia Elementary School The last day for bidders questions will be Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. To bid this project, bidders must be qualified by Gilbane Building Company. Questions regarding the prequalification application procedure should be directed to Yvonda Royster at 312-614-3913 or yroyster@gilbaneco.com. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required from all Bidders. No other forms of Bid Security will be accepted. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS INVITATION TO BID WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER". This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. North Shore School District 112 and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids. All information submitted as part of this process shall be considered public information under the State Freedom of Information Act unless specifically disclosed on the applicable information by the Bidder. Challenges to such exemptions shall be defended solely by the Bidder. Bidders who are not pre-qualified in accordance with this Advertisement will have their bids returned unopened. |
