Description | This scope includes subaqueous water main crossings in two locations as follows: Old Jupiter Creek Subaqueous Water Main Crossing: The construction of +/- 610 linear feet of 12-inch and 14- inch water transmission main piping along the west side of the Loxahatchee River Road Right-of-Way, the water main crosses below Old Jupiter Creek in unincorporated Palm Beach County. The crossing below the waterway will be accomplished via horizontal directional drilling utilizing +/- 580 linear feet of 14-inch HDPE pipe with the remainder of the water main pipe being installed via open-cut on each side of the crossing including the installation of +/- 30 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe, two 12-inch line stops, two fire hydrant assemblies, two 12" gate valves, a subaqueous crossing test pit, two tie-ins to the existing water transmission system, removing and disposing of +/- 120 linear feet of 12" water main, abandoning and grouting in-place +/- 390 linear feet of 12-in DIP water main, replacing four (4) one and two inch single and double road crossing water services with seven (7) two inch single road crossing water services, testing, disinfection, +/- 185 SY of asphalt pathway repair, +/- 350 SY of one inch asphalt pathway overlay, surface restoration, and all other work required by the project documents to provide a complete and operational subaqueous water main crossing under Old Jupiter Creek. Casseekey Island Subaqueous Water Main Crossing: The construction of +/- 630 linear feet of 8-inch and 10-inch water main piping from Passage Island to Casseekey Island crossing below the recreation area waterway SW-2 within the Jonathan`s Landing Planned Unit Development. The crossing below the waterway will be accomplished via horizontal directional drilling utilizing +/- 600 linear feet of 10-inch HDPE pipe with the remainder of the water main pipe being installed via open-cut on each side of the crossing including the installation of +/- 30 linear feet of 8-inch C900 PVC pipe, two 8" gate valves, a subaqueous crossing test pit, two tie-ins to the existing water distribution system, abandoning and grouting in-place +/- 640 linear feet of 8-in DIP water main, abandoning three 8-inch gate valves, replacing three (3) one inch single water services with one (1) two inch single and one (1) two inch double water services, testing, disinfection, asphalt roadway repairs, asphalt pathway repairs, concrete curb repairs, paver driveway restoration, surface restoration, and all other work required by the project documents to provide a complete and operational subaqueous water main crossing under recreation area waterway SW-2 |
