Description

REMOVE EXISTING: A. An interrupt of B1101 electrical power service will be necessary, as the temporary service “rental” A/C unit must be connected/disconnected at the B1101 utility transformer. B. CHW, HW, and CFW isolation valves are denoted within reference drawings. ELECTRICAL power panels are denoted within reference drawings. Data Center floor drain is denoted within reference drawings. C. A temporary service “rental” A/C unit will be required for B1101 Data Center while CRAC equipment are being replaced, repaired. Coordinate scheduled deliver, install, test, and removal of a temporary “rental” A/C unit (DX cooling, ELEC heating) with Vectrus CM. Temporary A/C unit (approx. 80TON) is to provide supplemental cooling of B1101 Data Center while CHW to each CRAC unit is isolated. D. Temporary A/C Unit shall be operational for a minimum of 24 hours prior to the isolation of CHW and demolition of existing CRAC equipment; and shall remain operational until the time that the new CRAC equipment is installed, tested, and ready for operation. E. Contractor shall coordinate a temporary service “rental” A/C unit start-up and operational test prior to starting any demolition of existing B1101 data center HVAC equipment. F. Contractor is to coordinate with EMCS through Vectrus CM for all controls related actions. An EMCS representative will be present during both disconnect and reconnect of any and all control wiring related to this project. This B1101 uses a METASYS controls management system. Contractor will use Johnson Controls (JCI) to perform all work on this METASYS controls management system. Currently EMCS shares no control information with the existing CRAC units. However, EMCS will monitor the new, updated CRAC units after this work is complete. Disconnecting control cables shall be coordinated with Vectrus EMCS before any work is performed. G. Disconnect 480VAC/3ph/60Hz electric service to isolate existing CRAC units. Relocate, remount existing raised floor area Smoke/Fire detector at CRAC unit # 242. H. Isolate, Drain, then Disconnect CHWS&R piping at each CRAC unit. Isolate, Drain, then Disconnect HW RH piping at each CRAC unit, with exception of Secure Data Center CRAC unit # 246. Isolate, Drain, then Disconnect CFW humidifier piping at each CRAC unit. Disconnect noted Condensate drain piping at each CRAC units with exception of Secure Data Center CRAC unit # 246. I. Contractor is to remove (4) existing CRAC units in B1101 NIPR Data Center. Units 242, 243, 244, and 245. Coordinate scheduled removal of existing CRAC units through Vectrus CM. J. All new CRAC units will be delivered with new floorstands. Only CRAC units 242 and 245 will require their floorstands. Existing CRAC units 243 and 244 are Leibert MDL FH422C (22TON) each. These units will NOT require any existing floorstand modifications prior to the install of the NEW (25TON) CRAC units. Existing CRAC units 242 and 245 are Leibert MDL FH302C (15TON) each. These units have a smaller length footprint than NEW (25TON) CRAC units. The existing floorstands and mounting pedestals of these CRAC units must be removed. New floorstand will be installed, modified at CRAC unit 242. New floorstand will be installed, modified, and extended at CRAC unit 245. K. At previous location of CRAC units 242 and 245 Remove raised-floor panels & pedestals, and remove CRAC unit floorstands. L. At CRAC unit 246, existing Leibert MDL BF068 (3TON) unit, in Secure Data Center . Leibert MFR representative will be needed for upgrade of CRAC unit # 246. Contractor shall remove existing control unit & display. Contractor shall remove existing CHW 3-WAY valve inlet piping. Contractor shall remove existing Fan Motor & Controller. PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW: M. Procure and install four new LIEBERT model CRAC units. MDL # CW084DC1A1H208H1L0BF (QTY: 4) or an approved equal. • CHW cooled, HW RE-HEAT, both with 2WAY control valves • CFW infrared humidification. • Gravity Condensate drain with internal trap. (no condensate pump) • 24” floorstands • Provide, mount (1) network switch in CRAC unit 242, that will accept 2 sets CAT5 cabling from each CRAC unit for unit-to-unit control. • Provide “unity” interface card for BACNet MSTP protocol for EMCS/BAS control signals wiring. • Mount Moisture Sensor, Route Leak Detection Cable provided with each CRAC unit in raised floor below piping connections. • Smoke detector, HI-Temp sensors, and CHW Flow Switch N. Provide 480VAC/3ph/60Hz ELEC SVCE (FLA 23.6, MOP 30A) with factory provided locking disconnect switch, and 65kA SCCA for new CRAC units. O. Install, Insulate, Identify new CHWS&R piping at each CRAC unit. New balancing valves, drain valves will be required at each CRAC unit. , New isolation valves will be required at CRAC units 242 and 243. Install, Insulate, Identify new HW RH piping at each CRAC unit. New balancing valves, drain valves will be required at each CRAC unit. , New isolation valves will be required at CRAC units 242 and 243. Install, Insulate, Identify new CFW humidifier piping at each CRAC unit. New isolation valves will be required at each CRAC units. Reconnect, Identify existing Condensate drain piping at each CRAC unit. P. At CRAC unit 246, existing Leibert MDL BF068 (3TON) unit, in Secure Data Center RM. Leibert MFR representative will be needed for upgrade of CRAC unit # 246. Contractor shall install new I-COM control unit & display. Contractor shall install new CHW 2-WAY valve inlet piping.
