Description | A. Project Identification: Project consists of new HVAC unit ventilators at Thomas Jefferson School and new CHP Unit at the High School. B. Project Location: Thomas Jefferson School, 75 1st Street, Lodi, NJ 07644 and the High School, 99 Putnam Street, Lodi NJ 07644. 1. Owner: Lodi Board of Education, 8 Hunter Street, Lodi, NJ 07644. C. Architect Identification: The Contract Documents, dated October 1, 2022, were prepared for Project by Environetics Group Architects, P.C., with offices at 180 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632, phone # 201-894-1000. The contact person is Gus Arnone, Project Manager. D. The Work consists of the purchase and installation of a new CHP (Combined heat & power) unit at the high school and installation of new unit ventilators at Thomas Jefferson School. Lodi Thomas Jefferson School New Unit Ventilators and Lodi High School New CHP unit Terms of proposal and Surety required are fixed by the specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, drawn to the order of the Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid but not in excess of $20,000. A 100% performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. (18A:18A-24). Bidders must be pre-qualified to bid on work specified by the New Jersey State Board of Education (Title 18A:18A-27). Bidders must also comply with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law, N.J.P.L. 1977 c.33. Bidders are required to comply with requirements N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment will be in the best interest of the School District. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defects or informalities in any bid, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the District to do so. The Board will not assume responsibility for bids not delivered in person to the Board of Education at the time called for bid opening. Public Law 2004, c. 57, requires all businesses to provide proof of registration with the NJ Department of Treasury to conduct business with any school districts. |
