Y--Replace Vault Toilets at Badlands National Park

Project Description: Provide labor, materials, and equipment necessary to demolish three concrete vault toilets and all their components, including the sanitary waste vaults. Haul off old vault toilets to an approved landfill. Contractor will be responsible to remove and dispose of waste contained in existing vaults prior to demolition of each structure. Each structure is approximately 16’ by 6 ‘. During construction, the contractor will provide and maintain portable chemical toilets. Prepare sites for new precast concrete vaults and precast concrete vault toilet. Install new precast vaults and precast concrete vault toilets that are ADA compliant. Ensure that vault toilets are tied into the existing access areas around the vault toilets location, some modification may need to happen. Vault toilets need to meet Badlands National Park approved color palette for exterior finishes. Any ground disturbance will need to be monitored by a park provided paleontological monitor.
