Transmission Line Insulator Assembly Replacement for 138KV Line

The work involves the replacement of post insulators on Line 4 (138 kV) beginning at US1 Substation, Stock Island, Florida to Big Coppitt Substation, Big Coppitt, Florida. Line-4 consists of square precast concrete and round precast concrete. Horizontal Post Insulators, Hardware, Static Hardware and Grounding connection to static are to be replaced on these structures. Furthermore, Vibration Dampeners are to be replaced at all locations. Post Insulators will be polymer type. Transmission line-4 can be de-energized during the Hurricane off-season, November thru April. Plans should be in place and prepared to re-energize in the event of load emergency. Refer to Appendix A for a list of structures, and their associated unit (assembly) replacements, included under the scope of this project. Refer to Appendix B for all reference drawings, existing plan, and project location. Location of Work The following is a description of the line segments included under the scope of this project: Line Segment 4 - Work begins at Structure #1 and ends at Structure #100. Structure locations are both on land and in open water. Structure types consist of square and round precast concrete monopole structures.
