Description

The Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Traffic Signal is a partnered Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) project that will provide five (5) traffic signals to be reconstructed to provide the necessary displays and alignment for the following locations: o 17th Avenue and Peoria Street o Mississippi Avenue and Buckley Road o Mississippi Avenue and Sable Boulevard o Smoky Hill Road and Chambers Road o Yale Avenue and Peoria Street Work performed shall include, but is not limited, to: o Anticipated Construction Period: November 2022 to September 2023. Selected Contractor shall reference the following project numbers on all correspondence to the City of Aurora (COA) or Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT): o City of Aurora: 22126 / 5886A o CDOT Subaccount: 22126 o CDOT SAP: SHO M055-046 Work not specifically called for but that is needed to accomplish a successful project under this contract should be considered as part of the work to be performed, whether specifically detailed or not. Each bid response shall be submitted on the prescribed forms supplied in the Project Manual. Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check made payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Original bid bonds do not have to be mailed; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time. Bids shall be submitted electronically, preferably in a PDF format, through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System and must be received. Bids received using another method such as email, mail, or hand delivery will not be considered. Late bids will NOT be accepted. Bids shall be retained by the City and cannot be returned.
