Description | replacement of a Rooftop HVAC system at Nashoba Valley Technical High School (NVTHS) Description of Work Each Bidder shall carefully examine the site, engineering drawings and the information available to provide the services and all conditions which may affect proper execution of this agreement. The purpose of this agreement is to provide the District with services and products as detailed in these specifications in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, laws, and regulations. No claims for additional costs will be allowed because of lack of knowledge of the existing conditions. Bids shall include all services and all other costs to complete this agreement as specified herein. Furnish and install a new HVAC system, including removal of the existing rooftop unit. Please consult drawing M1.01 and specification sheets for details; alternate manufacturers with equal or better specifications will be considered. Units to be installed consist of: 1 - Energy Recovery Ventilator Unit 1 - Outdoor Air Cooled Condensing Unit 5 - Indoor Air Conditioning Units Controls and integration to existing Niagara management control system A. Contractor to remove existing unit from the roof. B. Contractor to make any alterations to the existing curb if needed. C. Any penetrations to roofing must be done by Carlisle-certified roofers (roof is under warranty) and approved by NVTHS facilities director. D. Contractor to place rooftop condensing unit in consultation with NVTHS facilities director. E. Install a 120v GFCI weatherproof receptacle at the unit. This receptacle can be separate or integrated with the unit. F. Mount a 120v GFCI weatherproof light fixture at the unit. G. Install Power and Control wiring. H. Install inline smoke detector and CO detector. Both shall shut down the unit if activated. Smoke detector to report to the Fire Alarm panel. CO detector to report back to the BacNet system. I. Contractor to provide all controls (e.g. thermostat) to operate with the existing Niagara Control console and BacNet system. J. Unit shall be installed with a permanent plate labeled per NVTHS instruction. K. Reconnect new Unit to new Supply and Return Ductwork. L. Contractor to field measure and determine additional supply/return ductwork to ensure adequate airflow. M. New ductwork as needed per drawing. Ductwork to be insulated. N. Insulate existing supply trunkline. O. Supply new Diffusers. P. Start Up and Test the new unit. Q. Unit MUST be compatible, connected and configured to work with the existing DDC control system. |
