TRACS NO 095 MO 175 F044901C PROJECT NO 095-C-NFA TERMINI QUARTZSITE-PARKER-TOPOCK HIGHWAY (SR 95) LOCATION SARA PARK TO I-40 ROUTE NO. MILEPOST DISTRICT ITEM NO. SR 95 175.70 to 202.00 NORTHWEST 103408 The amount programmed for this contract is $32,000,000. The location and description of the proposed work are as follows: The proposed project is located in Mohave County on State Route 95 between mileposts 175.70 and 202.00 near Lake Havasu City. The proposed work consists of removing the existing asphaltic concrete surface course by milling and replacing it with asphaltic concrete. The work also includes placing polyester polymer concrete overlay on the existing bridge decks, reconstructing sidewalk ramps, installing pavement markings and other related work. The time allowed for the completion of the work included in this contract will be 185 working days. The Arizona Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The minimum contract-specified goal for participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in the work, as a percentage of the total amount bid, shall be 4.11. The Application for Contractor Prequalification may be obtained from the Contracts and Specifications website. This project requires electronic bidding. If a request for approval to bid as a Prime Contractor is received less than 48 hours prior to bid opening, the Department cannot guarantee the request will be acted on. This contract is subject to the provisions of Arizona Revised Statutes Section 42-5075 -- Prime contracting classification; exemptions; definitions. No award will be made to any contractor who is not a duly licensed contractor in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes 32-1101 through 32-1170.03. All labor employed on this project shall be paid in accordance with the minimum wage rates shown in the General Wage Decision. These rates have been determined in accordance with the requirements of the law and issued by the Secretary of Labor for this project. The wage scale is on file in Contracts and Specifications Section and copies may be obtained at all reasonable times.
