Description

The local municipalities include the Village of Woodridge, the City of Darien, and the Village of Lisle (Municipalities). The County is migrating to advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), so existing water meters need to be upgraded in order to successfully implement and reap all the benefits of the AMI system. The County’s intent is to find the most appropriate water meter(s) to meet the County’s and the Municipalities’ short and long-term needs. Water meters will be evaluated on cost, warranty, failure rates, longevity, historical performance, recalls, initial accuracy, end-of-life accuracy, compatibility with AMI systems, availability, customer support, etc. The County and each Municipality will be the sole decision maker as to which water meter(s) is best for their particular needs.
