Burlington Bike Path Improvements

The Base Bid work for the above contract includes the paving of the existing Sunset Trail bike path - from Spring Valley Road to Dardis Drive – 2800 LF starting from Spring Valley Road. The work includes the installation of two culverts, grading of the existing aggregate pathway, the paving of the bike path, and restoration along the newly paved path. Major work items and approximate quantities for which bids are requested include: 30 LF of Corrugated HDPE Culverts, 565 tons of HMA 4LT, 190 tons of Open Graded 3/8-Inch Chipped Stone, and 1310 SY of restoration.The Additional Bid work for the above contract includes the paving of the existing Sunset Trail bike path - from Spring Valley Road to Dardis Drive – for the final 1707 LF up to the connection at Sunset Drive. The work includes the removal of sections of asphalt along the existing path, the grading of the existing aggregate pathway, the paving of the bike path, and restoration along the newly paved path. Major work items and approximate quantities for which bids are requested include: 167 SY removal of asphaltic pavement, 335 tons of HMA 4LT, 190 CY of Open Graded 3/8-Inch Chipped Stone, and 800 SY of restoration.
