Description | The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking input from prospective bidders for a potential fiscal year (FY) 2022 award of the aforementioned project. The purpose of this RFI is to seek input from various members of the Dredging Community to include Small Businesses, concerning possible consolidation of the requirement for maintenance dredging of the Jacksonville Harbor, 47-FOOT, 40-FOOT, 38-FOOT, & 34-FOOT Project, Duval County, and the TAMPA HARBOR, 45-FOOT PROJECT – EGMONT CHANNEL CUTS 1 & 2 and 43-FOOT PROJECT – MULLET KEY CHANNEL, Tampa, Florida. The Jacksonville Harbor project work consists of maintenance dredging portions of the Jacksonville Harbor channel between Bar Cut-3 and Upper Terminal Channel including portions of Cut-F and Cut-G. Work will be divided into a Base and up to six Options. Disposal of materials will be at Buck Island Cell A and Bartram Island Cell A. Work also includes turbidity monitoring, endangered species observers (hopper dredges only), sea turtle trawl-sweeping (hopper dredges only), and marine animal observers (clamshell dredges only). The Tampa Harbor project work consists of maintenance dredging Egmont Cut-1, Egmont Cut-2, and Mullet Key Cut. Dredged material will be placed in the designated beach placement area on Egmont Key. Additional work includes turbidity monitoring, sea turtle trawl sweeping and relocation, environmental species observation, and beach tilling. Work will consist of Base and up to two (2) Options. Possibly, one Option for Egmont Cut-1 and another Option for Egmont Cut-2 and Mullet Key Cut. |
