Description | This project entails approximately 10,000 feet of drilling and the injection of 3,000 cubic yards of grout and 2,000 tons of foamed sand into abandoned underground mines.to reclaim an abandoned mine land (AML) site by drilling into the mine workings and backfilling with cementitious grout and foamed sand to fill the void spaces. The AML site contains an abandoned underground lignite coal mine and is located near Beulah, North Dakota. The 2021 Beulah/Zap Phase 16 AML Project includes areas as shown on the map on page 49 and as further described: • ND Highway 200 right-of-way extending approximately ½ mile east and ¾ mile west of the intersection of Highway 200 and 60th Ave SW between Sections 12 and 13, T144N, R88W, and Sections 7 and 18, T144N, R87W. • North Dakota Game and Fish property located in Section 7, T144N, R87W. • The Curt Michaelson residence in the NE¼ of Section 12, T144N, R88W. • Other areas as directed by the Commission’s Project Manager. |
