Longleaf Road 21-22 Timber Sale

Thinning of three stands totaling 332 acres of planted pines from Matanzas State Forest located in St. Johns County, Florida. Stand A is a fourth row, operator select thinning of 302 acres of planted slash pine. Timber to be removed in Stand A includes every fourth row for access and select timber in the remaining rows. Trees to be removed from the leave rows includes diseased, deformed, forked and suppressed trees along with a portion of the intermediate and co-dominant trees to reach a basal area of 60-70 square feet per acre. Stand B is a third row operator select thinning of 27 acres of slash pine. Timber to be removed in Stand B includes every third row for access and select timber in the remaining rows. Trees to be removed from the leave rows includes diseased, deformed, forked and suppressed trees along with a portion of the intermediate and co-dominant trees to reach a basal area of 60-70 square feet per acre. Stand C is a marked second thinning of 3 acres of longleaf pine. Timber to be removed in Stand C includes all trees marked with blue paint. Unmarked timber is not to be harvested or damage
