Description

The Project Includes the Construction of a Pickleball Court in Salinas Park Located at 240 Cape San Blas Road in Port St. Joe, Fl. Completion Date for This Project Will Be 90 Days From the Date of the Notice to Proceed Presented to the Successful Bidder. Liquidated Damages for Failure to Complete the Project on the Specified Date Will Be $500.00 Per Day. All Bids Shall Remain Firm for a Period of Sixty Days After the Opening. All Bidders Shall Comply With All Applicable State and Local Laws Concerning Licensing Registration and Regulation of Contractors Doing Business to the State of Florida. The Bid Must Conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on Public Entity Crimes. All Questions Must Be Submitted to Clay Smallwood, P.e. At Csmallwood@gulfcounty-fl.gov. The Board of County Commissioners Reserves the Right to Waive Informalities in Any Bid, to Accept and/or Reject Any or All Bids, and to Accept the Bid That in Their Judgment Will Be in the Best Interest of Gulf County. a. Construction of a double pickle ball court on the bay side of Salinas Park. The new courts will be located on the west side of the existing pickleball courts - see attached site plan b. Cut and cap existing irrigation lines in conflict with new pickleball court - see attached irrigation as-built. c. Contractor shall excavate and remove dirt as necessary for court construction. d. Contractor shall remove and replace approximately 110 linear feet of 5' wide concrete sidewalk to accommodate the new courts. e. Court subgrade shall include sand fill compacted to 95% modified proctor. f. Court to be 64' x 64' consisting of 4" thick 3,000 psi concrete with a 16" wide x 16" thick continuous perimeter footer. Slab reinforcing to include 6x6 10/10 WWF and two (2) #5 rebar in the continuous perimeter footer. g. Court slab to be sloped to provide positive drainage but not more than 1%. h. The net post footing base will consist of 2' x 2' x 5' deep 3,000 psi concrete with PVC sleeve. i. The net posts shall be tubular steel with a powder coat finish. j. Contractor to provide and install net posts with integral lacing bars and net tightener. k. Contractor to provide and install two (2) pickleball nets. l. Contractor to provide and install per the manufacturer's recommendationtwo (2) coats of acrylic resurfacer over the entire court area. m. Contractor to provide and install per the manufacturer's recommendation two (2) coats of acrylic Color Concentrate (two-tone) to provide in-depth color over court surface. Colors to be selected by the Owner. n. Contractor will locate, mark, and paint two-inch wide playing lines in accordance with U.S.A.P.A. regulations using white, textured, heavybodied, acrylic latex paint. o. Contractor to relocate 64 linear feet of fencing from west side of existing pickleball court to west side of new pickleball courts. p. Contractor will provide and install 128 linear feet of 4' high black vinyl coated 10-gauge chain link fence with two (2) pedestrian entry gates adjacent to concrete slab. q. The Bid Alternate includes 412 linear feet of 8' high black vinyl coated 10- gauge chain link fence with four (4) pedestrian gates. This fence would be installed around the perimeter of the existing and proposed pickleball courts. The Bid Alternate also includes demo of the existing 4' high fence. The price quoted for the bid alternate shall be the additional cost of the 8' fence versus the 4' fence in the base bid.
