Description

As of January 4, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to October 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) requests statements of qualifications (SOQ) from consulting engineering firms for evaluating the existing condition of two pump stations in the CFPUA system, PS-41 (Towles Rd.) and PS-61 (Greenville Village MHP). The project will generally consist of completing a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) of the existing conditions, determining future upgrade requirements, preparing a basis of design and providing an estimate of probable cost. Detailed design plans, technical specifications, permitting, bidding and construction services by the Engineer will be negotiated at a later date, when construction funding has been committed. CFPUA will address questions regarding the RFQ until 2:00 PM on September 8, 2021. Questions submitted after this time will not addressed.
