Contractor Awarded Address: Niceville, FL 32578-1893 USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $6,541,848.00 Construction of New Facility Addition and Alterations shall constitute full compensation for furnishing and installation of all materials, plant, tools, labor costs, and other associated incidentals necessary to complete the construction of the Building 73 Facility Addition and alterations in accordance with the contract document drawings and specifications. All new communications network cabling will be installed to the existing buildings Comm Room. New 480V, 3 phase and 208V, 3 phase electrical services will be installed to the new facility addition which will back feed the existing electrical service panels. ACS, IDS, CCTV, and pink noise systems will be GFGI with the contractor installing all power and pathways for these systems. The contractor shall be responsible for the demolition of fire alarm and mass notification devices within the existing facility as indicated on the contract document drawings as well as the patching and painting of the walls and replacement of ceiling tiles associated with this task. Additionally, a new LED text sign shall be installed within the existing facility as indicated on the contract document drawings. The fire alarm and mass notification system for the building addition shall be an extension of the existing fire alarm and mass notification system. Payment under Bid Item Construction of Site Work shall constitute full compensation for furnishing and installation of all materials, plant, tools, labor costs, and other associated incidentals necessary to complete the construction of the work beyond the 5-foot building lines of the facility in accordance with contract document drawings and specifications. Work includes but not limited to; clearing, grubbing, and grading the site, demolition of existing site improvements and utilities, site improvements, hauling fill material, the installation of all exterior utilities (except for ASUS and CHELCO), sidewalks and pavements, stormwater structures and management facilities, sod landscaping, and site improvements. The contractor shall also be responsible for the installation of the fire service supply line, saw cutting and patching of pavements, sidewalks and restoration of damaged landscaping, dewatering, testing, and cathodic protection related to utility systems installation or demolition as a part of the base bid costs. Privatized Utility Authority (ASUS) Water and Wastewater Work will constitute full compensation for the payment in the amount shown on the bid schedule to the privatized utility authority, American States Utility Services (ASUS) for their work to provide and install the privatized water and wastewater system for the Building 73 Facility to the point of demarcation as defined in Appendix E, American States Utility Service, Inc. Water and/or Sewer Service Connection Standard Manual, Section 1.3. Addition and connections to the existing water and sanitary sewer systems including but not limited to trenching, dewatering, filling and compaction for installation of the water and sewer system service components. ASUS will saw-cut existing pavements to perform the installation of piping, remove the pavement from the pipe trench, pavement debris will be left to the side of the work area to be removed and disposed by Contractor. ASUS will install pipes, backfill & compact the utility trenches, and rough grade only. Contractor shall be responsible for patching of pavements, sidewalks and restoration of any damaged landscaping related to the water and sewer line service utility system installation as part of the Base Bid costs. All erosion and sedimentation control measures, dewatering, final site grading, restoration of pavements, and installation of grass sod work for the area of the site impacted by utility installation will be completed by the Contractor. All soils and materials testing, if required, shall be provided by Contractor. Contractor shall coordinate with ASUS to schedule the installation of this work to be completed within the required Construction Completion duration and make payment to ASUS for the amount shown on the bid schedule. The cost for materials, labor, equipment, and other appurtenances related to the fire line construction are not included in the ASUS work and connection fee. A cathodic protection system shall be provided for the new water domestic lines and fire service supply lines. Contractor shall provide the materials, labor, equipment, and appurtenances for the installation of cathodic protection for the new water domestic lines and fire service supply lines. Privatized Utility Authority (CHELCO) Site Electrical Work will constitute full compensation for the payment in the amount shown on the bid schedule to Choctawhatchee Electrical Cooperative (CHELCO) for their work to provide and install the privatized exterior primary power system supporting the Building 73 Facility Addition. CHELCO to install new 750KVA and 1000KVA pad mount transformers along with associated primary rework needed for the install. CHELCO will modify the existing transformer pads as required. Installed work shall be built to CHELCO standards and specs. Work does not include metering or secondary. All work downstream from the transformer (to include metering and secondary) is the responsibility of the Contractor. |
