The Tern

Project to consist of the Renovation and addition to the Waypoint Motel by adding a second story to one side of the building. Three bays of new storefront window units are to be added along with two sets of double doors with sidelights and transoms above. The addition above is setback for an exterior walkway. The storefronts/rollup doors and entrance door on the second floor line up with the units below. The three existing storefronts will have the window openings increased and a third storefront added. The parapet wall on the one story side will be increased to be even with the top of the walkway railing on the other side. The project will have some changes to the side elevations only, of the Waypoint style which has a total of forty-nine units per building. The right and left elevations, remove the three sets of two-story boxed bays and the small awning windows on the third floor. Two window bays will have three single hung windows ( one on each floor) and the bay next to the front elevation will have a single hung window at the ground level with boxed bay running between the second and third floors.
