Description

Middlesex Community College, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the MCC Derby Building Window and Door Replacement and Accessibility Upgrades Project, Project No. MCC 2022-08 in Lowell, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by CSS Architects, Inc. The Project consists of: Window and door replacement, accessibility upgrades and exterior painting. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. The Commonwealth has set the following goals for workforce participation for minorities and women. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women. The Contractor shall strive to achieve on this project the labor workforce participation goals contained herein. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. Deposits may be electronically paid or must be a check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to portal., to cover mail handling costs.
