Description

Project Description: The Project includes the construction of an approximately 29,500-square-foot police station located at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, Virginia. The construction of the police station will include the demolition of existing public works storage and maintenance facilities at the planned site, and new construction of similar public works storage facilities at a new location. The project will also include interior tenant space fit out of the 3rd floor of the adjacent municipal building. The construction of the police station must include Public Entry; Administrative; Community Engagement Unit; Professional Services; Criminal Investigations Bureau; Evidence; Patrol Operations Bureau; Sally Port; Support Spaces; other space programming needs and Project Parameters as identified in the Project Parameters Attachment A and Program Requirements Attachment B. Site work will include the connection of water, sewer, stormwater management, power and other utilities as necessary, installation of parking/pavements and sidewalks to provide access, and landscaping. The Proposer shall establish the construction schedule. Additional information related to site plan can be found in Attachment C, Attachment D, and Attachment E. Additional information about the 3rd floor renovations to the adjacent municipal building can be found in Attachment F. The City Council has provided information about its vision for the project that can be found in Attachment G. Request for Detail Phase Proposal September 13, 2022 Detailed Phase Proposals Due October 13, 2022 Award Date November 15, 2022 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any informality or irregularity in any proposal received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective proposals received.
