Path Maintenance and Repair

The Work is for maintenance and cleaning of three (3) sections of the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health (PATH). This work will include removing overgrowth, repairing/replacing sections of the railing and installing bollards. Guyandotte Trail Description: Remove overgrowth and reestablish original 8 – 12 foot width of trail on the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health Guyandotte sections. Remove all split rail fencing. Remove and replace steel rail fencing with galvanized steel rail fencing, OR repair broken sections and sand, prep, and galvanize all steel rail sections. Repaint existing bollards and replace any missing bollards. Install 2 new bollards. Remove weeds in paved trail sections under 5th Ave Bridge, around bollards, and around ADA rumble strips. Items: Weed and reestablish original 8 - 12 foot width of approximately 4,005’ of trail. Repaint and reinstall 6 drive-in bollards, replace any missing bollards. Install 2 new foldable bollards with locking mechanism SEE MAP. Remove all split-rail fencing including backfill and fill all holes (approximately 22 sections) Install 10 prefabricated signs (signs are 18” x 24”) Railing Replacement/Repair: Approximately 943’ steel fencing railing to be replaced/repaired. Harveytown Trail Description: Remove overgrowth and reestablish original 8 foot width of trail on the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health Harveytown sections. Remove and replace steel rail fencing with galvanized steel rail fencing, OR repair broken sections and sand, prep, and galvanize all steel rail sections. Remove all split rail fencing. Repaint bollards. Remove all flexible plastic bollards. Items: Repaint and reinstall 6 drive-in bollards. Weed and reestablish original 8 foot width of approximately 1,580’ of trail. Railing Replacement/Repair: approximately 215’ of steel fencing railing to be replaced/repaired. Remove all split-rail fencing including backfill and fill all holes (approximately 12 sections) Remove all flexible plastic bollards including any backfill and fill all holes. Levee Trail Description: Remove overgrowth and reestablish original 9 foot width of trail on the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health Levee Trail sections. Remove and replace steel rail fencing with galvanized steel rail fencing, OR repair broken sections and sand, prep, and galvanize all steel rail sections. Repaint bollards. Remove all flexible plastic bollards. Install 2 new bollards Items: Weed and reestablish original 9 foot width of approximately 12,962’ of trail. Repaint and reinstall 1 drive-in bollard. Install 4 new foldable bollards with locking mechanism SEE MAP. Install 10 prefabricated signs (signs are 18” x 24”) Railing Replacement: Approximately 2,268’ steel fencing railing to be replaced/repaired. Remove all flexible plastic bollards including any backfill and fill all holes.
