Rose Prairie Park Development - City of Ames

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan identifies neighborhood park service areas to cover a 1/4 to 1/2 mile radius. As the North Growth development occurs, this plan indicated a need for a neighborhood park to serve residents in this area. Standard amenities in neighborhood parks include a basketball pad with goals, a small shelter, a play structure and swings, and utilities. In addition, this park may require paths and sidewalks. The project is included in the city's 2021/2022-2025/2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
