Description | For concrete water control structures of various dimensions and flow capacities. Specifically, we require structures constructed with 24”, 36”, 48”, or 60” HDPE corrugated cast in pipe stubs, dimensions will vary based on size of pipe (figure 1). Structures need wing-walls on both sides to help prevent erosion (Figure 1). Note, wing- walls in figure 1 only shown on one side in order to keep the drawing simplified. Structures should be available in a variety of heights ranging from 4’ to 8’ depending on need. Concrete should be at least 4300 psi, and a skeleton of 3/8” rebar should be used for the structures (including the base). Either a male or female corrugated pipe stub should be cast into the structure (the male or female end of the stub needs to be exposed so it can attach to another length of pipe). The pipe should stub out 10’ from structures. Structures should be cast with a mechanism on each side that allows us to hook a chain to them in order for lifting (such as a large cast in U-bolt). |
