Description

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) seeks responses from qualified bidders to remodel our Mechatronics Lab at our Gresham Campus. All questions and contacts with Mt. Hood Community College (hereinafter referred to as MHCC) regarding this ITB must be addressed in writing to the ITB Contact listed above. Any questions or issues that may arise regarding the Specifications, the bidding process, and/or the award process shall be directed to the ITB Contact. MHCCs official response to any questions or requests will be through direct letters or the addendum process. Contact with other MHCC staff without prior clearance from the ITB Contact listed above may result in bidder disqualification. The contract expected to be awarded in connection with this solicitation is subject to the state prevailing wage rates under ORS 279C.800 to 279C.875 and/or the federal prevailing wage rates under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C.3141 et seq.). Electrical Work: Installation of 480-volt feeder from existing panel to new 75kva transformer Installation of 75kva transformer with 200-amp feeder to 120/208 breaker panel Demo existing circuits from walls that are being removed within rooms. Demo select circuits and data ports from walls within scope of work (circuits/data ports will be identified in walkthrough) Install 9 x 120-volt wall duplex receptacle outlet Install 9 x 120-volt ceiling fed with cord drop receptacle outlet Install 6 x 208-volt wall receptacle outlet Install 4 x 208-volt ceiling fed with cord drop receptacle Install 1 x 120-volt Four-plex receptacle outlet o MHCC will provide print with locations for new installation and demo. o Contractor to verify electrical needs Air Drops: Contractor to run airline from lower level existing copper piping to (5) locations with (2) terminations at each Distribution block, ready for fittings. Contractor will need to install shut-off valve in 1271 o MHCC will provide print with locations. Instructors Bench: Relocate instructors' bench from 1271 to 1277. Data and electrical will need to be removed from work bench and reinstalled in 1277. o MHCC will provide print with locations for new installation and demo. Flooring: *Asbestos Removal Remove flooring from rooms 1271-1277-1277A flooring has glue that contains asbestos. o Flooring areas totals 4736 sqft. o 2290 sqft has carpet over VCT floor tile o 2446 sqft has just VCT floor tile. Once the asbestos is removed from the floor the concrete will be ground to shop quality. (3) coats of water base sealer will need to be applied to floor. New black cove base with shoe throughout space. (2) carpet (2) tile reducers at exterior doorways. o MHCC will provide floor sealer information at walkthrough
