Description | Preparing for major improvements to the Town's municipal marina, located along South Lake Drive in Palm Beach, Florida. A site location map is included as Figure 1. Part of the program includes improvements to the parking facilities that support the marina. These improvements require reconfiguration of an area that was previously used to store used oil from marina operations prior to off-site disposal. The Site had a waste oil tank (500-gallon poly tank) within secondary containment for this purpose. This tank and its contents have since been removed by the Town. The Town performed waste oil tank assessment work and found that soil and groundwater contamination exists in the area of the tank. The Town desires to contract with a licensed remediation contractor to perform soil and groundwater remediation to remove the contamination from the site. |
