Description

The contract period of performance will be 730 Calendar Days (2 years) commencing from the date of the Notice to Proceed, or until the amount of the contract has been exhausted, whichever occurs first. Not to exceed $350,000.00, including WSST or 2 years, whichever occurs first. Tax will be added to total work order value and billed per the tax rate for each job location. No Pre-bid is planned for this bid opportunity All questions must be submitted within the Pierce County OpenGov Procurement Portal software, under the Clarifications Tab not later than 4:00 PM, March 6, 2023. Bidders must be registered in the OpenGov Procurement software in order to submit questions. Contractor is responsible for all Taxes, Fees, Insurance and Bonding costs for this project. All costs (except Sales Tax) must be included in the bid prices. Successful bidder must provide a contract bond for $350,000.00. 5% retainage will be held for the full contract period. Due to the potential emergency nature of some of this work, vendor must have the staffing levels and resources to be able to respond by phone to County calls within 2 hours, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Contractors must have the capacity and capability to service the County as listed below: A. Ability to properly remove, dispose, install and repair various types of roofing materials, decking, flashings and related accessories. Material can include, but not be limited to: Aluminum, Rib Steel, Fiberglass, Roiled Composition, Hot Tar covered with rocks, Torch Down, 3-tab Composite, and Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), Underlayment, Wood Sheeting, Vents, Crickets, Gutters, etc. B. The ability to work safely and efficiently at all heights and in all weather conditions. C. Successful bidder must be a State of Washington licensed contractor for a minimum of 2 years and furnish a license number. Contractors must meet all requirements/specifications and may be required to submit references prior to award. Failure to furnish references if requested may cause your firm to be viewed as non-responsible. The Contractor and any Subcontractor shall be bound by the provisions of Chapter 39.12 RCW, as amended, relating to prevailing wages and usual fringe benefits. No workman, laborer, or mechanic employed in the performance of any part of this Contract shall be paid less than the "prevailing rate of wage" as determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of Labor and Industries.
