Description

Site civil scope for the development of a rail tamper remanufacturing and maintenance facility. The building structure, interior paving, driveways and parking lot were completed in a previous phase. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, mass grading, rail bed/subballast grading, ballast & walkway ballast procurement, placement and stockpiling, private storm sewer system improvements (pipe, inlets, gabions, concrete weir), pavement construction (aggregate and concrete), and final seeding & erosion control. Track material acquisition scope includes procuring all rail materials (ties, rail, turnouts, OTM), other than the rail bed/subballast, ballast, and walkway ballast. Rail construction scope includes the placement of the track section, including ballast, ties, rails, turnouts, walkway ballast and other track material (OTM). No bid bond is required. The target date is June 27, 2023. .Hard copy bids (no email submissions) must be submitted directly to City Hall. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City of Independence on behalf of Precision Railway Equipment Company reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Performance and Maintenance Bond to Precision Railway Equipment Co., in the amount of 100% of the total bid guaranteeing the complete and faithful performance and completion of the contract, and maintenance of the completed project for a period of one (1) year after the date of completion and acceptance of the project.
