Description

All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the North Tallahatchie Water Association. If a bid is submitted by mail, the address of the North Tallahatchie Water Association is 1262 Havens Road, Enid, MS 38927. If a bid is hand-delivered, the street address of the North Tallahatchie Water Association is the Teasdale Fire Station at 9533 Teasdale Rd, Enid, MS 38927. All bid envelopes shall be marked "SEALED BID FOR "HE PROJECT #223-205.001 - NEW 500 GPM WELL" to be opened at 6:00 P.M., June 6, 2023, and if any envelope is not so marked, any bid contained therein will not be considered. All bid envelopes should contain the bidder's name and mailing address on the face of the envelope and also specify the name of the bid item. Bidder's certificate of responsibility number or a statement that the bid inside is less than $50,000.00 shall appear on the outside or exterior of the envelope or container of such bids, failing which, said bid shall not be opened or considered. Return of documents is not required. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for online registration. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids not conforming to the intent and purpose of the specifications, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the bid opening date. Scope of Specification This specification prescribes the general requirements for all specifications that reference this section, are complementary to the General Conditions of the Contract contained in the Contract Documents and are not intended to duplicate or contradict the General Conditions. Contradictions shall be brought to the attention of the Engineer. In resolving inconsistencies in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall give precedence in the following order: 1. Contract. 2. Supplementary Conditions. 3. General Conditions. 4. Specifications. 5. Drawings. 6. Geotechnical information. Figure dimensions on drawings shall take precedence over scale dimensions; detail drawings shall take precedence over general drawings. In case of a discrepancy between specifications and drawings or between various specification sections, the most expensive shall apply
