Roxie Avenue Hot Water Heater Replacement

The work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the replacement of the hot water heater at 1724 Roxie Avenue. Scope of work includes providing: Demo and remove 300-gallon PVI hot water heater, mixing valve, expansion tank and all distribution piping local to mechanical room. Temporarily shut down Weil-McLain boiler, disconnect burner and remove from boiler to create sufficient space to move new HWH into position. Install new 300-gallon PVI model 1000 L 300A-TP hot water heater, new Lawler Thermostatic Water Controller Model 802 High-Low Water mixer, new American-Wheatley model BDT-009 expansion tank, and distribution piping, all to manufacturer’s instructions. Install new temperature gauges on supply and return lines, dielectric unions and ball valve shutoffs on supply/return sides of new HWH, unions and ball valve shutoffs on inlet and outlet of new mixing valve, union and ball valve shutoff on new expansion tank, and install mixing valve bypass with ball valve shutoff. Reuse existing flue piping and properly secure. Reuse existing recirculation pump. Insulate new distribution piping. Test all components for proper operation at completion. Re-install Weil-McLain boiler burner and confirm proper operation. Contractor responsible for any required plumbing/electrical permits and inspections.
