Description | This work includes the removal, disposal, and replacement of the entire cross section of Cells 1-3, including Subsurface Flow (SSF) Filter Soil media, SSF Wetland Gravel Media, underdrain pipes, isolator rows, aeration pipes, cleanouts, and geotextiles. The inlet structure, intermediate structure, and the outlet structures shall be left in place and re-used. Maintenance of stormwater flows, erosion control, restoration of disturbed areas, and other incidentals are all to be included in the lump sum price. Depending on available budget, Bid Alternate 1 - Deicing Stormwater Treatment System Phase III, may also be awarded. Phase III would include the same scope of work as Phase II, but to be completed for Cell 4 of the subsurface flow gravel wetland system. See Section IX. Specifications for more details concerning both project phases. The work must be done in accordance with Attachment #1, which includes civil drawings and notes for this project, the following conditions, and must be completed by June 30, 2023. Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov no later than 4:30 PM, Friday, July 29, 2022. The City will issue a response on or before 4:30 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2022. The response will be in the form of an addendum, which will be available on the City. Notifications will be sent out at the time of release of all addenda to the appropriate Registered Vendor List. It is the responsibility of the Bidder(s) to see that their bids have sufficient time to be received by the Purchasing Department before the submittal deadline. Any bid, portion of a bid, or unrequested bid revision received at the City of Bangor Purchasing Department after the time and date specified, will be returned to the Bidder unopened. The City of Bangor reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or defects in bids or to accept a higher cost bid if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Bangor. The City also reserves the right to negotiate with the successful Bidder. |
