The Work to be done consists of demolition of the existing site without compromising the landfill liner. Activities include, but are not limited to, the demolition of asphalt, concrete, decomposed granite, and fencing. The Work also includes construction of a park. The park will require import of dirt, a new decomposed granite trail, rock and mortar landscape, irrigation, multi-purpose turf field, plants, trees, new asphalt and concrete, fencing, storm drain infrastructure, bleachers, sports netting, lighting, picnic areas and fitness stations. Bidders must scan and upload with their bid documents a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Long Beach, drawn on a solvent bank in the United States of America, or a satisfactory bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the bid. A corporate surety bond in favor of the City of Long Beach in an amount not less than 100 percent of the Contract price for the faithful performance of the Contract, and A corporate surety bond in an amount not less than 100 percent of the Contract price for the payment of all labor and material claims.
