Description

Separate sealed bids will be received no later than date and time indicated for Bid Opening (listed above) for the following bid packages: 3. Pavement & Sidewalks Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud following the time stated above. Bids received more than ninetysix (96) hours, excluding and holidays, before the time set for opening bids, as well as bids received after the time set for opening bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Saturdays, Sundays, For bids in excess of $50,000.00, a Cashier's Check, certified check, or surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids for a period of at least fortyfive (45) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. PART 1 GENERAL BIDDING REQUIREMENTS A. It is the intent of the following to describe the scope of work included in each Bid Package. The bid shall include all the requirements in the specification sections listed unless specifically excluded below. B. If the scope of work includes Labor, then the successful bidders must provide General Liability, Auto and Workers Compensation with Certificate listing Additional Insured and Waiver of Subrogation in favor of the Owner, Architect, Construction Manager and any others requested at time of contract issuance C. If the scope of work is to only supply Material, then the successful bidders must include all labor, materials, services and incidentals required for complete fabrication, manufacture and delivery to the project site the materials included in the designated specification sections and drawings. D. If any Bidder is unclear as to the Scope of Work required, contact the Architect/Construction Manager prior to bidding. Prior approval is required for all bid packages. DO NOT MODIFY, ADD, OR DELETE FROM SCOPE OF WORK or you risk the Owner setting your bid aside. E The Construction Manager may bid on any or any combination of bid packages, but will declare such information at the Pre-Bid conference. F. Owner reserves option to award or reject any and all bid packages. G. If the bid is in excess of $50,000.00 dollars, Payment and Performance Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount covering faithful performance of the contract, and payment of all obligations arising there under, will be required by the Owner. A Warranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the contact amount covering defective workmanship and materials for a period of one year after acceptance of the project will be required. Premiums for the performance, payment and warranty bonds are included in this proposal. It is further understood that, if accepted by the Owner, this Bid becomes a part of the Contract Documents upon signing of the Contract, and failure to comply with any part of this Bid will be taken as failure to comply with the Contract Documents, and will be just cause for rejection of any or all of the work. H. Accompanying the Bid is either (1) a Certified Check, (2) a Cashier's Check, or (3) a Bidder's Surety Bond made payable to the Owner for not less than 5% of the amount submitted herein. It is understood that the check or bond will be returned to the Bidder, except that in the event of the Owner's acceptance of this Bid, and the Bidder fails to execute a Contract and file Performance and Materials and Payment Bonds within ten days of the date of the Owner's acceptance, then, in that event, the Bidder's Check or Bond will become property of the Owner because of the failure of the Bidder to comply with the specified requirement. Bid Bond must be accompanied by Bonding Agent's Power-of-Attorney. 1. Out-of-State Subcontractors to provide proof of registration with the State of Oklahoma upon request per state law J. Bids shall include all of the requirements of the specification sections listed unless specifically excluded below. K. Each bid shall include removal of all trash and debris created by each bidder's work. Each bid shall include delivery/loading/ and unloading of ma- terials. L. This work will be completed adjacent to existing structures, site survey is strongly recommended. It is likely class and/or students will be present during construction, be prepared for possible shifting of activities based upon operational needs of the school. M. This project is TAX EXEMPT. N. Bid packages are designed to be bid separately. Combination of bid packages will be received, but Owner reserves the option to award or reject regardless of pricing implications. O. Multiple mobilizations are potentially required, based upon schedules of work. P. Change orders will only allow a maximum of fifteen percent (15%) for overhead and profit.
