Various Overhead Roll-Up Doors at NAS Corpus Christi, TX

Remove and properly dispose of nine (9) each roll-up doors, associated hardware and replace with nine (9) each new commercial grade, 24 gauge, hot-dipped galvanized steel roll-up doors. All doors shall incorporate new steel hoods. Contractor shall note specifics see Attachment G, Lead Paint Lab Report. The contractor shall submit a Lead Base Paint Hazard Abatement Plan to Public Works FEAD and Environmental Division prior to starting any work. All lead base paint containing materials shall be disposed of in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations. Contractor shall place plastic on the floor to collect any flaking paint. Flaking paint shall be properly disposed as stated above. Replacement shall include: gear and motor mechanisms, push button operators, side tracks, manual operation chains and perimeter weather seals. All door hardware required to install doors shall be galvanized steel. Contractor is responsible for making any modifications to door frames to accommodate new doors while keeping in mind that there is lead paint present, see Attachment G, Lead Report for lead paint test results.
