Description | Roofing Replacement of the Chappie James Center Mail in a bid package prior to the date and time noted above to the attention of Purchasing Department, Kresge Center Room 116 (Purchasing Office), Tuskegee University, 1200 West Montgomery Rd. Tuskegee, AL. 36088-1346 Tuskegee University is issuing a Request for Bids to interested qualified companies to perform roofing replacement services located at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, AL. The Project consists of the re-roofing of: - Re-roofing 32,088 S.F. Chappie James Center (Main Roof). (Base Bid) LAST DAY FOR QUESTIONS: 11/15/2022 1. Remove existing roofing completely to the decking. Make repairs to lightweight concrete deck as required after exposure. 2. Install a single layer of polyester/fiberglass scrim base sheet and attach to lightweight concrete with approved fasteners. Fastener rate shall be 12" oc on the side laps and two rolls offset 18" oc in the field of the sheet. 3. Over base sheet adhere a single layer of 1.5" polyisocyanurate insulation using specified high performance asphalt. Interply rate shall be 30 lbs. per 100 sq.ft. Over metal deck section attach the 1.5" polyisocyanurate insulation using approved fasteners. 4. Install a single layer of 1/2 " wood fiber insulation to the iso board using high performance asphalt. Interply rate shall be 27 lbs. per 100 sq ft. 5. Install a single layer of polyester/fiberglass scrim base sheet to the insulation using high performance asphalt at the rate of 27 lbs. per 100 sq ft. 6. Install (3) plies of specified fiberglass felt using high performance asphalt. Interply rate shall be 27 lbs. per 100 sq ft. - per ply. 7. Install a single application of white, modified cap sheet using high performance asphalt. Adhere using an application rate of 27 lbs. per 100 sq ft. 8. Install new roof drain and plumbing vent stack flashings. 9. Install new base flashing at all roof top equipment curbs, Underlayment shall be two (2) plies of fiberglass felt with a single application of specified cap sheet. 10. New metal counterflashing shall be installed underneath perimeter wall coping and base flashings at curb. 11. Contractor's Five Year Warranty is required. 12. Manufacturer's Twenty Year Warranty is required. |
