Description | This project will realign +/-1.5 miles of Alabama Rd. and connected roadway intersections to provide a direct alignment between SR 37 and SR 76 west of I-75 with a mainline alignment of +/-1.28 miles. The project includes grading complete, traffic control, +/-12,600 TN of asphalt paving with associated graded aggregate base, +/- 3,670 LF of 30" concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, guardrail, striping, water sewer utility relocation, erosion & sediment control, and other associated improvements. The project is located in the TIA Southern Georgia Region and will be locally Let by the City of Adel (PI 0016253). Time allotted for completion of work is 300 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract closeout within 330 consecutive calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days except as specifically may be provided in the Instructions to Bidders and/or by State Law Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Owner reserves the right to waive informalities, and to re-advertise. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred ten percent (110%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Prequalification may be required of Bidders prior to the award of contract. At the Owner's request, detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, present commitments, and other such data as may be necessary to assist Owner in determining Contractor's qualifications shall be provided per the Instructions to Bidders contained in the contract documents |
