Description | The Weirton Board of Park & Recreation Commissioners are accepting bids for the demolition of the former Margaret Manson Weir Swimming Pool building located at Marland Heights Park, Weirton, WV. The bids should include the complete removal of all construction materials and preparation of the ground for future use, including seeding with grass. Contractors must also retain a portion of the front section bricks to be placed in storage at the work site. Bids should include the complete cost of demolition, including costs associated with meeting state and federal regulations for the disposal of all materials; and all associated costs for the work to be completed in a safe and timely manner; including insurance, bonding and permitting as required. All applicable licenses and permits must be supplied by the successful bidder. Only original bids will be accepted, no faxes. Bids must include the signed and completed bid sheet, notarized non collusion affidavit, and the Worker's Compensation affidavit, if applicable by bidding company. All proposals received must have "MHP Demo" indicated on the envelope. The contract to furnish the above items as herein advertised will be awarded by the Weirton Park Board to the firm or persons submitting the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Park Board. The Park Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable.
