Description

This Recreational Trail Program (RTP)-fundedproject consists of the construction of approximately 3,635' of 8'-wide asphalt trails to the immediate east/northeast of Old Spiro Lake. The project consists of tree removal and the construction of a custom concrete trail flume/culvert with pipe railing, asphalt trails, concrete bench pads with benches, two (2)concrete handicap parking spaces, a 5'-wide concrete connector sidewalk, and the installation of two (2) galvanized corrugated steel arch pipes with end sections. Includes tree removal, grading, drainage, paving, signage, and striping work. Includes tree removal, grading, drainage, paving, signage, and striping work. This is the second bid for the project. The plans have been altered to include a reduction in the base bid and the creation of 2 additive alternates (listed below) and 2 alternates allowing the construction of concrete instead of asphalt trails. The additive alternates include: Additive Alternate #1- Purchase and installation of (6) Benches; and Additive Alternate #2 - Construction of Alignment #2 in the plans. OPTIONAL alternate #3 (included in Addendum #1) includes replacing the asphalt trail with concrete trail in the base bid. OPTIONAL alternate #4 (included in Addendum #1) includes replacing the asphalt trail with concrete trail in the Additive Alternate #2 portion of the project.
