Description

Demolition of Multi-Family Building at 315-319 Cleveland Avenue Block 18, Lot 36 The project entails the demolition of an existing 2 story residential building which is constructed of typical wood and masonry materials. Work shall also include the removal of asbestos containing materials and the disconnection of public utilities to the building. Contract Documents may be examined Monday through Friday, except legal holiday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, only at the office of the Town Clerk at the address set forth above. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. .The Bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to Bid opening for submitting Bids. Bids will not be accepted after deadline. Bidders are required to submit a certificate from the New Jersey Department of Labor establishing that the bid is registered pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 1999, c.238) Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 17(N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Program, and N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq. All Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidder shall provide its New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and Contractor's Public Works Registration with its bid. The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Town of Harrison and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents. All work shall be done under the observation of the Engineer, or another authorized representative of the OWNER. The Engineer shall decide any and all questions which may arise regarding the quality and acceptability of materials furnished, work performed, rate of progress of work, interpretation of Contract Documents, and all questions concerning the acceptable fulfillment of the Contract by the CONTRACTOR.
