Description

The scope of the project includes: project mobilization and demobilization; traffic control, implementation and operation of complete stormwater management plan and erosion and sediment control plan; survey and layout for construction staking of all improvements; demolition including the removal of approximately 5,520 square yards (SY) of existing 2” to 3" thick asphalt surfacing; 1,575 lineal feet (LF) of existing curb and gutter, 975 SY of existing concrete flat work, 5,046 SY of existing 8-inch to 10-inch thick concrete located below the existing asphalt street surfacing, 280 LF of existing 4-foot high chain link fence with the reinstallation including either new or existing posts; 155 SY of sod with installation of 55 SY of salvaged or new sod; guardrail end piece, guardrail section and post with the reinstallation of nose piece, mailboxes and posts at residences along Santa Fe Trail, a fire hydrant, and a sanitary sewer manhole; earthwork; installation of 932 LF of 6-inch C900 DR14 PVC water distribution system piping including; 20 LF of 2-inch Typed K copper water service line; 13 LF of 6-inch ductile iron pipe; gate valves on new water lines including 3 each (EA) of 6-inch and 1 EA of 2-inch diameter valving; 6 EA new 18-inch concrete collar around existing valve box; new 6-inch fire hydrant assembly installation; 4 EA connections between new and existing piping; 305 LF of flow fill around the new water main required to be installed fully around new water line to provide for adequate protection against existing sanitary sewer main; 2 EA mini tracer wire test boxes; 1 EA on 6-inch new 3/4-inch service tap; 14 LF of new 3/4- inch Type K copper water service lines; 1 EA of new 34- inch curb stop; 500 LF of Class "B" bedding; 28 LF of 8" SDR 35 PVC sanitary sewer pipe; 2 EA of new 5-foot precast concrete sanitary sewer manholes; furnish and install curb and gutter including 1,295 LF of Type 1 8-inch carry curb and gutter, 375 LF of Type 2 6-inch carry curb and gutter, 138 LF of Type 3 6-inch spill curb and gutter, and 25 LF of Type 4 6-inch ramp curb and gutter; 1,520 square feet (SF) of 6-inch thick concrete driveway aprons with flares and the adjacent 6-inch thick sidewalk; 278 SF 6-inch thick concrete driveways behind the new aprons or curb; 8,293 SF 4-inch thick non-colored concrete sidewalk; 1,315 SF colored stamped concrete with rock pattern; install 6 EA 6-inch thick collared pedestrian ramps; 131 SF of squared curb returns with a monolithic curb head and pan; 172 SF 6-inch thick reinforced concrete crossed pan; 20 cubic yards (CY) aggregate base course for driveway in the alley transition; 5,067 SY 7.5-inch thick (three lifts) of hot mix asphalt street pavement including 5.5-inches of Grade S and 2-inches of Grade SX; 5,067 SY 6-inch thick (two lifts) of hot mix asphalt street pavement including 3-inches of Grade S and 3-inches of Grade SX; 186 LF of white 24-inch solid wide pedestrian crossing pavement marking tape; 56 LF of white 24-inch solid wide stop bars pavement marking tape; 2,262 LF of 4-inch wide double yellow continuous centerline pavement markings; remove and reinstall five existing street signs; 4 EA new pedestrian crossing signs with metal post; 9 EA adjustments to existing sanitary sewer manholes rings and covers; 8 EA adjustments to existing water valve boxes; cast-in-place concrete retaining wall with hand rail including 84 LF at northwest corner of Santa Fe Trail and W. Adams Street, 67 LF at northeast corner of Santa Fe Trail and W. Adams Street, and 45 LF at southeast corner of Santa Fe Trail and W. Adams Street; installation of non-irrigated grass seeding on disturbed areas including final grading, soil preparation and all incidental materials of construction, complete in place.
