Description | As of September 7, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. For the Chatham Fish Pier - Bulkhead Resheeting and South Jog Improvements Project, located at the Chatham Fish Pier, 45 Barcliff Avenue Ext, Chatham, MA 02633. The project generally consists of the installation of an anchored steel sheet pile bulkhead along the existing parking lot, south of the Fish Buildings and around the south jog. The steel sheet pile bulkhead will have a reinforced concrete cap with scuppers and a timber pile fender system. The project includes site work that includes, but is not limited to, parking area striping, site concrete retaining wall and sidewalk, ADA-compliant pedestrian walkway, installation of lamp posts, complete with post foundation, electrical scope, cathodic protection scope, MEP scope, refurbishing of existing rubber fender steel assemblies, and replacement of an existing timber deck and stairs adjacent to the Wharfinger Building. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so in accordance with G.L. c. 30, 39M(b). A Faithful Performance Bond in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to at least 50% of the contract price, each of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth of MA, satisfactory to the Owner, will be required of the successful general bidder. Every bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of: 1) a bid bond, 2) cash, or 3) a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the awarding authority. The amount of the bid deposit shall be 5% of the value of the bid. The award of a contract is subject to the Owner's receipt of all regulatory approvals from local, state, or federal agencies. The award is also subject to availability of sufficient funding. |
