Description

The Vail Park and Recreation District ("District"), a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, is soliciting proposals from interested and qualified Golf Course Contractors in connection with the renovation of a total of seven (7) golf greens and thirty-one (31) bunkers located on the Vail Golf Course. This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is intended to solicit proposals for District's consideration toward the selection of a single golf course contracting firm to provide materials and services to renovate / re-build seven (7) of the existing greens and thirty-one (31) of the existing bunkers. The District expects to award a contract to the firm submitting a Proposal which, in District's sole discretion, represents the best value to District based on the selection criteria described herein. A Pre Bid conference will not be required for this project Anticipated Project Timeline. The projects are anticipated to begin construction in late September 2022 or 1st week of October 2022 and be substantially complete and open to the public by May 31st, 2023. Work will be sequenced and conducted in a manner that minimizes impact to golf operations. Work on each of these greens is anticipated to reach a Fall 2022 milestone of progress and then prepared for winter. Work will resume in Spring of 2023 in order to accomplish the required completion by May 31, 2023. Bid security shall be made payable to Owner, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid Price, including alternates, if any, and in the form of a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond on the form attached issued by a surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions.
