Description

Work under this contract involves installation of new precast concrete storage tanks for the existing wet wells at the Discovery Sewer Pump Station (SPS) and the Route 194 SPS. Contract Drawings show two (2) options for the new precast storage tanks: circular or rectangular. Either option is acceptable. The Contractor may bid on either option. Permanent pump-around piping will also be installed at these sites and the tapered section of the existing Discovery wet well will be removed and replaced with a straight section. Bypass pumping will be implemented at the Discovery Site and septic hauling will be implemented at the Route 194 Site to ensure the existing sewer system remains functional during construction. Maintenance of traffic will be implemented at the Discovery Site
