New Public Courtyard, Vermeule Community Center

**As of October 26 ,2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The contract Scope of Work will include the development of an exterior courtyard at the Vermeule Community Center. The Project includes exterior work via the creation of an outdoor paved plaza featuring a partially covered porch, exterior seating, landscaping, and site drainage. The contract will allow two hundred ten (210) calendar days for completion of the work from the Notice to Proceed. Notice to Proceed will be issued on or about September 16, 2022. Proposals shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents, which shall be submitted intact. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the order of the Borough of North Plainfield, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, and deliver to the Borough an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The Borough of North Plainfield reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the Proposal received and to accept the Proposal which is in the best interest of the Borough. Proposals must be placed in sealed envelopes and delivered to the Municipal Clerk, Borough of North Plainfield in the Municipal Building, 263 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, New Jersey 07060, clearly marked New Public Courtyard, Vermeule Community Center with the name and address of the Bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. Payment for Contract Documents shall be by money order, or certified check only and shall be made payable to: CTS GROUP Architecture/Planning, PA. Contract documents cannot be purchased through the mail. CTS GROUP Architecture/Planning, PA will not be held responsible for contract documents purchased via courier service.
