Description

Cut and remove approximately 320 feet by 16 feet (contractors should only use this as a guide and try to take their own measurements) of large hedge row Eleagnus. Eleagnus was originally planted as a barrier between three fuel tanks and Alumni Drive, but it has now grown around piping for the tanks. Contractor will be required to work around piping, which has an asbestos wrap, and it cannot be damaged. Eleagnus needs to be removed, and all stumps grinded. 1. Contractor is responsible for traffic control during work. 2. Contractor must supply all equipment necessary to complete work. 3. Work environment must be restricted to prevent risk to students or staff. 4. Contractor is responsible for the disposal of everything removed. 5. Mulch can be dropped off on campus at a location designated by Winthrop. 6. Contractor must take necessary precautions to protect Winthrop property from damage by equipment. 7. If piping is exposed, all work must stop while Winthrop works to secure any possible asbestos. 8. The three fuel tanks do have fuel.
