Description | The City of Pawtucket Department of Public Works ("DPW" or "the City") seeks proposals from qualified contractors ("Bidders" or "Contractors") to construct, demo and reconstruct the tennis court complex ("the Project") located at Veterans Park in Pawtucket Rhode Island. Proposed improvements generally consist of court resurfacing, pavement painting and markings, fence repair and miscellaneous site improvements. Project must begin promptly following contract award (estimated August 25, 2022). The projects intent is to deliver a completed tennis court complex no later than October 15, 2022 The location of the proposed construction activity ("the Project") is shown on the Site Plans Issued for Bid included in this RFP as Appendix D. In general terms, the location of the Project can be described as follows: o Veterans Memorial Park Tennis Courts - 265 Smithfield Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860 o Portions of the following properties: o Assessor's Plat (A.P.) 58, Lots 0015 The Project has been commissioned per the recommendations of the administration of the City of Pawtucket in order to improve the facilities current deteriorating conditions. Bidder is required to provide a bid surety in the form of a bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Pawtucket in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price. Bidder is required to provide a performance and payment bond as outlined in the City's General Terms & Conditions of Purchase (Appendix B of this RFP) in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the bid price. Submission of a bid in response to this solicitation is acknowledgement and acceptance of these Rules and Regulations and General Terms and Conditions of Purchase. The City of Pawtucket reserves the right to award on the basis of cost alone, accept or reject any or all bids, and to act in its best interest including, but not limited to, directly negotiating with any vendor who submits a proposal in response to this RFP and to award a contract based upon the results of those negotiations alone. Proposals found to be technically or substantially non-responsive at any point in the evaluation process will be rejected and not considered further. The City of Pawtucket may, at its sole option, elect to require presentations(s) by bidders clearly in consideration for award. |
