Renovation of Hillman Library - Phase 3 - General Construction

The project consists of renovating approximately 40,000 sf of the First and Second floors, constructing new west stair tower as well as replacing portions of the 1st floor exterior raised plaza, including adjacent spaces affected by renovations. The scope of work includes but is not limited to new finishes and furniture and reconfigurations to support new library programs and services on levels 1 and 2; mechanical system upgrades; abatement of asbestos fireproofing; new efficient building lighting systems; distribution of power and wireless signal; reconfiguration of shelving units; replacement of all perimeter single-pane windows; new construction of stair tower addition connecting floors one through four; replacement of 1st floor occupied roof paver system and new accessible ramp from Forbes Avenue to first floor plaza. The Work also includes modifications to the 3rd and 4th floor as necessary for distribution of power and data systems and for work related to the intercommunicating stair.

Division 23 -	Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Instrumentation and Control for HVAC, HVAC Air Distribution.
Division 26 -	Electrical, Lighting.
