Description | Contract to Include Construction of a Boat Slide Area and Driveways and Gravel Parking Lots with Alternate Bid for Asphalt Pavement, Driveway, and Parking Lot in Dobson, North Carolina - Surry County. 1. Grading earthworks necessary to construct gravel parking areas, entrance driveway, steps, and precast concrete boat slide. 2. All ditches shall be sloped so they can be mowed with a 60"zero-turn mower. 3. Excavation, grading, and compaction of subgrade eight-inch, minimum thickness, compacted ABC gravel. All gravel work will have to have geotextile fabric placed under it. Fabric will be 8 oz. non-woven and be overlapped at no less than 3'. 4. NCDOT 3,000 psi concrete shall be used 5. Contractor shall provide, install, and maintain all necessary erosion control devices. Contractor shall comply with all requirements of the erosion and sediment control regulations. Because of the size of the project, an erosion control permit is not required, however, all precautions should be in place as if a permit were required. The contractor is responsible for any issue related to sediment management. 6. Project shall include construction of grass landscaped areas. Contractor shall provide seed, top soil, straw, and mulch - this will include all disturbed areas. Straw will need to be tacked down with tar or other suitable binder. 7. Contractor shall be responsible for all site preparation, including but not limited to, trees/shrub and stump removal, utility line location and relocation. Vegetation removal shall be estimated as directed. 8. The contractor shall supply all materials; including but not limited to, concrete, asphalt, ABC stone, bumpers, hardware, topsoil, grass seed, straw, mulch, fasteners, and any materials required to complete work as specified. |
